Disability Discrimination Claims
What does this cover?
Part III of The Disability Discrimination Act 1995 allows claims for compensation to be brought by an individual
against partnerships, companies, government or local authorities where inadequate service is provided to a disabled person. Most common compliants are lack of disabled toilets in hotels,
inadequate lift access for wheelchair users.
Any situation which causes a disabled person embarrassment, or treats them less favourably in any way because of that disability has potential to give rise to a compensation claim.
